First Aid

Overview

If you want to be prepared for any first aid emergency situation, HLTAID011 Provide first aid is the course for you.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).

This course applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

• Respond to an emergency situation

• Apply appropriate first aid procedures

• Communicate details of the incident

• Review the incident

• Ability to comprehend the English language

DURATION

1 full day

TRAINING & ASSESSMENT

Two (2) assessments will be conducted at the completion of training – Knowledge assessment and practical demonstration.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATION

This course is a Nationally Recognised Training and applicants’ deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size competency card.
