COURSE OVERVIEW

This unit provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a skid steer loader in the civil construction industry

TOPICS COVERED

• Planning & preparing
• Conducting machine pre-operational checks
• Hazard identification, assess risks and control measures
• Communication methods
• Systematic and efficient control of all vehicle functions,
• Lifting, carrying and placing materials
• Selecting, removing and fitting attachments.
• Relocating equipment, machine operator maintenance and cleaning up
• Clean up work area; clean, check and maintain plant and equipment

PRE-REQUISITES

• We provide on-site training and assessment services. Please ensure that a haul truck is available and accessible at your location for the training session.

• Proficiency in the English language is required. Participants will be asked to complete a brief literacy and numeracy assessment.

DURATION

1 full day – could be variable dependent upon applicants competency

TRAINING & ASSESSMENT

Two (2) assessments will be conducted – Knowledge and Practical Assessments.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATION

This course is a Nationally Recognised Training and applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size competency card issued by Intrain National Training Academy RTO 91759.
